TORTOISE, solid footing POND, sinks the instant you land, keep moving SEA, drifts wide, ride it across gaps FLIPPED, a springboard, launches you way up SNAPPER, bites and knocks you back
THE GOLD

Each golden turtle is worth 100 points, multiplied by a speed bonus that starts at 5x and ticks down as you climb. Collect gold, then race to the top: the faster you escape, the higher the multiplier. Some gold is guarded. Falls are recoverable. The maw is not.
